2 year graduate program, development opportunity
Residential Remote (relocation provided)
Mon - Fri with periods of remote field work

An exciting opportunity exists for a Graduate Heritage Advisor to join the Rio tinto Iron Ore Heritage team in Dampier, WA. The Graduate Heritage Advisor role contributes to best practice cultural heritage management for RTIO mining leases and tenements in the Pilbara, WA.

Reporting to the Manager Heritage Approvals and Land Access, your key responsibilities will include assisting in Aboriginal heritage surveys, updating Rio Tinto's Heritage geographic information system and other databases and ensuring Rio Tinto's safety and contractor management requirements are met. This position will work closely with Rio Tinto heritage team members, local Aboriginal community members and heritage consultants.

The successful applicant will possess relevant tertiary qualifications (anthropology, archaeology or a related field). A high level of people skills is essential and an ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders. The successful applicant must be willing to undertake periods of extended field work in remote locations.
